Altinasar is an ancient city located on the old channel of the river Quandaria in Karmakshy district of Kyzylorda region.

The city was built in the first and fourth centuries CE, and was a large city with four main buildings, covering an area of 17 hectares.

The first was studied by the Khorezm Archaeological Expedition (the successor, Sergey Tolstoy) in 1948. The first is known as the Great House, with an area of 150 x 150 m, a height of 12–15 m. It was mainly residential. The second was the Lower House. The excavations revealed that the lower floor of the city was built in the 1st-8th century. The upper floor dates from the 6th to 8th centuries.

And the people of the city were cattle and fields; and the people of the city were driven out of the hand of the captivity, as the people of the city of Jeth-jesar, that dwelt in the valley of the river.
