Atatürk House Museum, a two‑storey historic building built in 1912 on Atatürk Street; it is made of cut stone, rubble stone and brick. The house, registered in the name of the Treasury in 1923, was used as the Governor’s Mansion and was also allocated to Atatürk during his visits to Konya. The house, purchased by Konya Municipality from the Treasury in 1927, was registered in the name of Atatürk on 19 July 1928 as an expression of the people of Konya’s gratitude to Atatürk and the deed was annotated “It is a gift of the people of Konya to Reisicumhur Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha.” In 1940 the house was purchased by the Konya Special Administration for a symbolic price, turned again into the Governor’s Mansion and was used as such until 1963.

In 1963 the building was transferred to the Ministry of National Education, renovated, and one year later, on 17 December 1964, opened to visitors under the name “Atatürk House‑Culture Museum”.

Atatürk Museum, on the 100th anniversary of Atatürk’s birth, was restored at the request of the Provincial Celebration Committee by the General Directorate of Old Works and Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; its exhibition and arrangement were also redone and it was opened to visitors on 17 April 1982 as “Atatürk Museum”. In arranging the museum, the building’s function as a house was taken into account, and therefore no changes were made that would alter its architectural character.

The museum attempts to illustrate the role of Konya and its inhabitants in the War of Independence with documents and photographs. In the exhibition of the lower and upper halls, coherence was sought through panels and showcases; on the ground floor, documents and photographs from the pre‑Republic era depict Atatürk’s visits to Konya.

In the panels, documents, photographs and newspaper clippings showing Atatürk's arrivals in Konya, his visits in the city, and the daily notes he kept in this house are exhibited. In the showcases, some of Atatürk's clothes and various items he used in this house are displayed.
