Among the forest stands are various pine species; (black pine Pinus nigra, Scots pine) (Pinus sylvestris), Turkey oak (Quercus cerris), elm (Ulmus), maple (Acer), hybrid poplar (Populus x. euramericana), acacia (Robinia), and in smaller groups black walnut (Juglans nigra).

Among the shrubs occur hawthorn (Crataegus), elder (Sambucus), wild rose (Rosa canina), blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and spindle (Euonymus europaeus).

The herbaceous vegetation of the forest is also very rich, and shows affinity with the vegetation of oak forests native to the colder climate of the middle mountains.

Under the trees grows forest violet (Viola reichenbachiana) with several relatives, including the splendid violet and the petal‑less violet (V. mirabilis L.), sweet woodruff (Galium odoratum) as well as the onion‑like toothwort (Cardamine bulbifera), which spreads a colorful carpet beneath the trees even before the canopy closes. In addition there are lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis) and shade‑flower, the spurred celandine (Corydalis cava), fingered celandine (Corydalis solida), forest sedge (Carex sylvatica), soft sage (Salvia glutinosa), common speedwell (Veronica officinalis), small periwinkle (Vinca minor), alpine betony (Stachys alpina), lady fern (Athyrium filix-femina), forest wood sorrel (Circaea lutetiana), sanicle (Sanicula europaea) and perhaps the most valuable species of the forest, the Debrecen milkwort (Melampyrum nemorosum subsp. debreceniense), whose particular botanical value for our area together with the Bihor milkwort (Melampyrum biharicum) is notable, as well as forest shieldwort, the spiny shieldwort or lady fern, then the small periwinkle, the meadow buttercup. Hidden among the Avar undergrowth, the buds of the caprifoliacum shine with their dark‑green leaves, later the frog‑berry (Actaea spicata) nods with its black berries.

Among the orchids, the broad-leaved lady's tresses and the marsh lady's tresses can be mentioned, as well as the common frog, the bird's‑nest orchid and the two‑leaf starflower.
