Baltalı Gate is the entrance gate of the ancient city of Mylasa and today the north gate of Milas. It is located west of Esentepe, within the boundaries of Hacıapdi Neighborhood. It is 5 x 12 meters wide. It takes its name from the double‑faced axe figure, called "Labrys" in antiquity, that is on the keystone. It was built at the end of the 1st century BC.
