The 100-hectare-scale castle park was established by the Károly family in the early 1800s. The vast landscaped English garden has a special climate.

The castle and the castle park can be reached from road 3719, on a lower level, unnumbered but high-quality, solid covered sidewalk.

History

The park was first mentioned in a document in 1827 as a cotton garden as the property of the Carolys.

In the forest in the valley, the Carolingians initially made minor changes to promote hunting.

Between 1906 and 1913, the largest forest settlements were here, where the breeding material was produced in part by their own breeding school, but also brought in the soil from more remote areas.

When the park was set up, they took great care to ensure that the flora was rich in form and colour, and that they could be enjoyed at all times of the year with their colour and their flowers.

Part of the park, now divided into two parts, covers the area around the castle, while the other part, which is farther away from the castle, has been under forest management since it was nationalized in 1947.

The park's main entrance is led by a beautifully protected forest and black clouds.

The area around the castle was planted in the mid-18th century, with two now gigantic plants on the riverbank, and a terraced French garden at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries facing the southern facade of the castle, which offers a wonderful view of the park.

The outer park under forest management was established between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, mainly with groups of different species of pine.

Alongside the park's original carpentry oaks and candle trees, plantain, beech and sheep were planted. In addition to the marvelously spacious examples of ordinary plantain, several varieties of pine, caesarean, oak, tulip, blood-spout, Balkan wild boar, several special evergreens: maple, iceberg, silver pine, and several varieties of ham cypresses, such as the Oregon alpine cypress, can be found here.
