Hadrut Mosque — a mosque built in the settlement of Hadrut in the Khojavend district.

History

The foundation of the mosque was laid by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in October 2021. The construction work was carried out by “PMD GROUP”.

The opening of the mosque took place on September 14, 2025, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

Architectural features

The mosque project was prepared in accordance with the reconstruction‑rehabilitation plan of the settlement of Hadrut. Within the project, the overall capacity of the mosque, the functional distribution of the floors, and the façade decoration were executed in line with the indicators determined at the initial foundation stage.

The mosque’s structure combines a two‑storey prayer hall, a second‑storey hall reserved for women, and decorative elements consistent with the national architectural style. The minaret was designed to be approximately 25 metres high according to the indicator set at the foundation stage, and the prayer hall was planned to accommodate 210 people worshiping simultaneously.
