The Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum is an archaeological museum located in Ayoubye district of Shanliurfa.

The Amazon of Hunting

The Hunting Amazon mosaic, discovered at the base of a Roman villa during archaeological excavations in Shanliurfa between 2006 and 2008, dates back to the 5th or 6th century AD. In the middle of the work, where the Amazons hunted predators such as lions, leopards and wolves, a wounded lion is depicted, blood flowing over his head from his chin. The foreground of the scene features Melanippe and Penthesilea on their horses, and behind it figures of Hippolite and Thermodosa depicted on foot.

The Life of Ashil

The Life of Achilles, discovered in another room of the same villa as the Amazon mosaic, depicts cuts from the life of Achilleus, one of the demigod figures in Greek mythology. The story begins as a baby in his grandmother's arms; his mother Thetis immerses Achilleus in the Styx River; the young Achilleus bids farewell to his mother; the fateful goddesses wrap up the life of Achilleus; the sage Heiron instructs Achilleus; and finally, the participation of Achilleus in the Trojan War.
