Hamidiye Mosque is a mosque in Konak district of İzmir, named after Abdülhamid II, the banisi.

The design

The Hamidiye Mosque or the neighborhood in which it is located, the Karantina Mosque was completed in 1891 and opened for service. The mosque, built in the Karantina district of İzmir during the reign of Abdulhamid II, is part of a new building movement in the city when it is considered to be integrated with the Hamidiye Industrial School and new schools, bathrooms and hospital buildings.

The side mirrors and corners of the minbar near the mihrab are simple in design; each face of the octagonal dome of the shrine is rectangular in shape and the contours are painted with gold velvet.

The first renovation was carried out in 1937 and the second in 1957 after the earthquake destroyed the minaret cluster. The last restoration work was carried out in the 2000s. The mosque is now within the boundaries of the Quçukyalı neighborhood connected to Konak.
