Karaali Mosque is located in the Mendepazarı area of Uşak province. Although the exact construction date of the mosque is unknown, it is said to have been commissioned by a person named Kara Ali. The building has an inscription dated Hijri 975, Gregorian 1567-1568, but the architectural features of the structure do not possess 16th‑century stylistic characteristics. In this case it is argued that the minaret remains from an earlier mosque and that the present mosque acquired its current appearance through a major restoration in the first half of the 19th century.

The main prayer hall, which is rectangular in plan, has four shops built beneath the qibla side. The last congregation area was added to the building later. The structure was built with dressed stone and rubble stone, and covered with a tiled broken roof from the outside. The wooden minbar and the two‑sided curtain motif are not original.

The building was repaired after the fires of 1867, 1894 and 1922, and the roof took its present form in the renovation carried out after the 1894 fire. In 1969 a reinforced‑concrete, enclosed last congregation area was built on the north side of the mosque. Finally, it underwent renovation in 2002.
