Kaszó Canopy Walkway
Opened in 2017 in the forests around the small settlement of Kaszó in Inner Somogy, this elevated wooden walkway lets visitors move through the tree canopy to observe the area's woodland plant and animal life at close range. Built from roughly 200 cubic meters of timber, the structure runs about 124 meters and rises as high as nine meters above the forest floor. Interactive information panels line the route, and the walkway includes a suspension-bridge section as well as hidden observation points where visitors can watch for wildlife such as deer. Several rest stops along the path allow walkers to pause and take in the surrounding Somogy woodland. The trail can be explored independently free of charge, with guided tours available on request, and it sits near a forest narrow-gauge railway and the Kaszó wildlife park, making the walkway part of a larger cluster of nature-tourism attractions in the area.
