Koçhisar Castle

Kochhisar Castle is a castle located on a hill just east of Shereflikochhisar.

There are writers who claim that there were two castles before the Ottoman rule and that these were destroyed during the conquest of Karaman by Fatih Sultan Mehmet. Today there is no fortified structure on this hill, but the hill is called the Castle Hill and the neighborhood immediately below is also called the Castle neighborhood.

There is also a hill named fortress at the forks of the neighbourhood of Chairönü, Demirciobası and Yaylak neighborhood.
