Lake Eğri
Eğrigöl is located on the borders of Konya and Antalya, in the Söbüçimen Plateau on the slopes of the Geyik Mountains of the Taurus range. It is about 180 km from the Antalya city centre and 45 km from the district centre of Gündoğmuş. This lake, called the "Alps of Antalya" by nature lovers, has a unique beauty.
Because Eğrigöl lies among the mountains, it can be covered with snow masses of 3–4 metres. It is also surrounded by mountain lilies, crocuses, inverted lilies, hyacinths and many different plants with striking colours. With these features it holds the distinction of being Turkey's most vibrant lake at an altitude of 2350 metres.
Fishing with a rod can be done on the lake, and in addition to carp, various fish species also live there. Around Eğrigöl many animals can be encountered such as wild goats, sheep, brown bears, eagles and hawks.
Eğrigöl is an important spot that attracts nature lovers with its unique ecosystem and natural beauty. Its being called the Alps of Antalya also emphasizes the region's distinctive nature.
