Mençuna Waterfall is a waterfall located in the district of Arhavi in Artvin province.

Etymology

The name Mençuna is formed by the Laz word mençu meaning shareholder and the place-name suffix -na.

Access

Mençuna Waterfall can be reached by crossing the Çiftekemer Bridge and then turning onto the Küçükköy road. After following the Küçükköy road along the stream, the village road turns left and moves away from the stream. To reach Mençuna Waterfall, continue along the stream (i.e., follow the direct road without turning left) rather than from the Küçükköy road junction. After driving about 20 minutes without leaving the stream (the route is somewhat rough), you must park the vehicle at the first tea stop and cross the suspension bridge. After a 20‑minute walk up 407 steep stone steps, the waterfall is reached. This route is maintained each year for hikers. Near the waterfall there is a wooden bridge built in memory of beekeeper İlyas Can (1954‑2012).
