Chirikrabot — the ruin of a city of Opasiak people belonging to the Sak tribes (mid‑1st millennium BC). Located on the Jang River (Qizilqum). Investigated by the Khwarezm archaeology‑ethnography expedition (1948‑49), and by an archaeological detachment led by Yu. A. Rapoport (1957‑58). The Ch. fortress was built on a mound shaped like an egg (height 15 m), area 850×600 m. Its surroundings are raised square bricks (30×30×9 cm to 50×50×S cm). Built with inner and outer walls. From the wall a trench (width 40 m, depth 4.5 m) was dug by turning the rampart. The most ancient monuments of Ch. are burial mounds, of which 6 are known. In a burial mound about 10 tombs are opened. The bodies in the graves are placed on their sides, heads oriented to the northwest. From the burial mound several clay fragments, a flat‑handled iron sword, three‑pointed bronze arrowheads and small gold objects dating to the middle of the 1st millennium BC were found. Another ancient monument located on the southeastern side of the city is a ruin of a circular brick tomb (diameter 38.5 m, height 8.4 m), consisting of four square rooms (each 5.9×5.9 m). From the tomb iron knives, daggers, gold and silver bells, various ornaments were recovered. Most of the clay objects belong to the 3rd–1st centuries BC.
