Sofu Beyazıt Mosque, Sarı Selim Mosque or Sarı Mosque, a mosque built in 1402 in the city center of Edirne by Amasyalı Sofu Bayezid, the teacher of Çelebi Sultan Mehmet. It is known among the public as Sarı Mosque.

When this mosque commissioned by Sofu Bayezid fell into ruin over time, according to the first inscription on its gate it was built as a prayer room in 1543 in the name of Martyr Iskender of the Doğan lineage. In 1636 a person named Habbaz Hacı Yusuf Ağa had a minbar installed in the structure, converting the prayer room into a mosque. The mosque was later rebuilt more solidly by Edirne Bostancıbaşı İsmail Ağa in 1749 because it had burned. In Hijri 1255 (AD 1839/1840) it was repaired by Seyyidî-zâde Hacı İbrahim Ağa.

The mosque, covered with a tiled broken roof and having a nearly square rectangular plan, is built of rubble stone. The entrance façade on the northwest side of the mosque is plastered and painted yellow. On this façade, above the entrance door, there are three separate repair inscriptions. In the northwest corner of the mosque there is the Sarı Selim Mosque Fountain. The Hatip Street Fountain is also located adjacent to the garden wall of the mosque.

Inscription

Ahmed Badî also records the three inscriptions on the mosque.
