The Sharp Hill 'Helmet' is a small state natural monument of about two hectares in the Birzhan Sal district of Akmola Region, northern Kazakhstan. It protects a solitary, sharply pointed granite outcrop whose silhouette gives the formation its name in both Kazakh and Russian. The site sits within the belt of eroded granite massifs and pine-dotted steppe that stretches across this part of the Kokshetau upland, an area better known internationally for the nearby Burabai resort. Kazakhstan's forestry and wildlife authorities list it among the republic's officially protected natural monuments, a category reserved for small but geologically or ecologically distinctive landforms that do not require the scale of a full nature reserve. Despite its modest size, the designation keeps the outcrop and its immediate surroundings off-limits to quarrying, construction and other land uses that could alter or destroy it.
