Art Shop
A stairway from the Dóm tér side, next to the Holy Trinity statue, leads down to the entrance of the facility. Upon arriving at the reception hall, the visitor is welcomed by the Art Shop, a gift and souvenir shop that also functions as a ticket office. On the shop’s shelves, besides souvenirs related to the cathedral, monastic products and items from local craft manufactories can also be found.
Permanent and temporary exhibitions
The permanent exhibition, in addition to presenting the construction history of the Votive Church and Dóm tér, preserves the collection of liturgical objects of the Szeged‑Csanád Diocese (Baroque silverware, carvings and 15th‑18th century liturgical textiles). Interactive information kiosks are also placed in the exhibition space. The memorials of Bishop Gyula Glattfelder, who led the construction of the Votive Church, Culture Minister Kunó Klebelsberg and architect Ernő Foerk can also be viewed in the crypt. In addition to the permanent exhibition, thematic temporary exhibitions also await interested visitors. Photography can be taken with any admission ticket.
Accompanied by a guided tour, one can become acquainted with Hungary's only episcopal cathedral built in the 20th century. For groups, with prior registration, the Visitor Centre also provides a guided tour in the liturgical space at a prearranged time different from the above. A 30‑minute and a 60‑minute program are also available. Only a person commissioned by the Visitor Centre may conduct a guided tour in the church.
