Yemelyan Pugachev House Museum
The museum-house of E.I. Pugachev, considered a work of 18th‑century architecture and a valuable historical monument, is in demand among city residents and visitors. In everyone's mind the concept of the Motherland is linked with the history of the city where it resides, and one of its architectural and historical monuments is the museum‑house of Yemelyan Pugachev. Each exhibit in this museum has its own history. The museum‑house, which has taken its place in history as a place ravaged by the peasant war of 1773‑1775, is also closely associated with the names of great Russian researchers and writers who were engaged in collecting historical data about it.
In 1967 there was a library in this house, and since 1991 the unique historical monument has been placed under the jurisdiction of the regional historical‑local lore museum. Here are original Kazakh household items and weapons, bows, flutes, and valuable royal gifts.
Hundreds of artifacts in the museum exhibition are one of the striking signs of the region's history and the domestic appearance and distinctive features of the Zhaiyk Kazakhs.
