Yumurtatepe is a tumulus located in Çamlıca Neighborhood, Yenimahalle district, Ankara province, dating to the Early Bronze Age.

While it was thought to be a mound from the Phrygian period, after the Municipality of Yenimahalle initiated development work on it, rescue excavations were carried out by the Ankara Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in 1986 and 1987, and it was understood to be a small center from the Early Bronze Age.

To locate the burial chamber at Yumurtatepe, the General Directorate of Mining Exploration and Research conducted a survey using the electromagnetic prospection technique, and it was determined that a suitable space could exist 10 to 15 metres deep to the west of the centre of the mound, but no result was obtained from excavations. At the uppermost part of the structure, a roughly oval shape about 0.70 metres high was found half a metre below the surface.

It is considered that Yumurtatepe was not a large settlement and that it was used as a strategic outpost.
