Afife Hatun Tekkesi is located in the Eyüpsultan district. It is situated at the place where Zal Paşa Street meets Balcı Slope and on the left side of the slope. It was commissioned by Abdün-Nâff Efendi on behalf of his mother, Afife Hatun. It belongs to the Kalenderân-ı Özbekiyye. Afife Hatun died in 1834. The tekke has a treasury. In front of the treasury, opposite the Red Mosque, there is also a fountain. The fountain was commissioned in 1570 by Sokullu Mehmed Pasha. According to the repair book, Afife Hatun's son repaired it in 1851 for his mother's soul and also added a treasury. The remaining semahanesi of the building was in a ruined condition for a long time. In 2015, it was restored by the Eyüpsultan Municipality. Today it is assigned to the Eyüpsultan Municipality and operates under the name “Afife Hatun Cultural Center”.
