Ahmedli Mosque — a mosque located in the Ahmedli settlement, Khatai district, Baku city.

About

This mosque, which has no minaret, was built in 1904. According to the villagers, there are currently two places in Baku with a mosque without a minaret. One of them is Ahmedli, the other is in the village of Keşlə. The mosque has an interesting construction history. When the mosque was being built, Baku's oil millionaire Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev passed through the village by carriage. He saw that people were building a mosque. Haji Zeynalabdin said, "If you built a school, it would be better." Later, saying "If you are building a mosque, there is no shame," he provided financial assistance for the construction of the mosque.

In 2024, the Ahmedli Mosque was thoroughly renovated at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
