Boyahane Mosque is a historical mosque located in Erzurum district, Yakutiye county, Turkey.

History

Boyahane Mosque is a historical mosque with Ottoman architectural features built in the center of the city of Erzurum by Emin Pasha, who ruled Erzurum in 1566 during the reign of Kanuni Sultan Suleyman.

The women's dressing section of the Boyahane bath, built by Erzurum Governor Emin Pasha in 1566, was built in 1621 by Ilyas Efendi in the image of being converted into a mosque by renovation.

The church is square and has a single dome. The brick dome covering the place of worship is carried by eight cascades sitting on the walls. The short and very thick, single-aisled minaret of the church has brick-woven motifs.

The mosque has no last congregation and is entered from a small single dome space in the northeast corner.
