İncioğlu Han
Büdeyri Han, İnceoğlu Han or Elbeyli Han, is a historic caravanserai located in Gaziantep.
Because of plan and decorative similarity, the caravanserai is estimated to have been built in the same years as the 1890 Kürkçü Han. Therefore, it is thought that Büdeyri Han was constructed in the late 19th century.
Within Ottoman caravanserai architecture it belongs to the group of single‑courtyard, two‑storey caravanserais. The work, which gathers many features of classical Ottoman caravanserai architecture, was built in two sections: a soap house and a caravanserai. The rooms on the upper floor of both sections were made for the accommodation of travelers. Although the soap house and the caravanserai each have an independent entrance, they are connected on the second floor by an intermediate passage. This plan feature is unique among the caravanserais in Gaziantep. On the ground floor of the caravanserai, around an almost square open‑top courtyard, various volumes are arranged, and on the front façade there are single‑storey shops opening outward. Behind the rooms on the east side there is a two‑section heavy area. The soap house part, which has a slightly irregular rectangular plan, surrounds the inner courtyard on the north and east sides with arcades, and other rooms open onto this volume. The courtyard is covered from above with tiles to keep the soap house cleaner. The building, which has undergone various interventions, is one of the few caravanserais that has survived to the present day.
As of 2015, the restoration of Büdeyri Han was completed, and its historic fabric has reappeared. Its central courtyard and some rooms are equipped with Turkish Coffee, Menengiç Coffee, Ottoman Coffee, Dibek Coffee, World Coffees, European coffees, where regional delicacies are served, as well as morning spread breakfasts and şark corners. In addition, there are many shops offering local products. These shops include items such as Gaziantep-specific copper, mother‑of‑pearl, kutnu, yemeni, carpet weaving, scented soap, Turkish delight, silver, mosaic, baklava, kadayıf, blown glass, handmade textiles, souvenirs, and similar goods.
