The Karaganda Environmental Museum is one of the unique museums in the CIS region. Here you can learn about the diversity of natural resources of Kazakhstan, their production and subsequent recycling, the history and current security of the Semitic nuclear test site, the accident and destruction of the Baikonur spacecraft and rockets. The EcoMuseum collects many exhibits from the entire region: rocket and aircraft parts, post-Soviet and Soviet industrial and military equipment. One of the unique exhibits here is the fuel tank (burner) of the Proton rocket carrier, which crashed into the territory of Kazakhstan in 1999.
