Kossuth House Museum (also known as the Hungarian House) is an 18th‑century Turkish house in Kütahya that has been open to visitors since 1982. The owner of the house is Şeyh Bedreddin Efendi. In this house are exhibited personal belongings of the Hungarian revolutionary leader and lawyer Lajos Kossuth, who lived there in 1850‑1851, and objects related to Hungarian culture. Kossuth wrote the draft text of the constitution he prepared for Hungary in this house.

The museum is located on Hungarian Street in the Börekçiler Neighborhood. Lajos Kossuth, who took refuge in the Ottoman Empire and lived in this house with his family for one year, wrote a Turkish grammar book. In the museum, photocopies of the grammar book he wrote, musical instruments, a tobacco cutter, a pipe, objects such as an 18th‑century piano, porcelain dinnerware, old photographs of Budapest and ethnographic items belonging to a classic Turkish house can be seen.

The two‑storey, seven‑room museum‑house is set within a garden and has no window onto the street. On the first floor, where the selamlık (reception area) is located, there is a dining room, a bedroom, a children's room and a study. The rooms contain native cupboards, chests, a fireplace, a carved sherbet pitcher, shelves and low tables.

Lajos Kossuth, who declared his country's independence in 1849 and was the first president of Hungary even if only with the adjective “temporary,” lost the war against Austria when Russia entered the war on Austria’s side and was exiled to Kütahya. He lived in this house until 1851, when he left the country on an American warship. He is commemorated at the museum with a ceremony on the anniversary of the 1848‑1849 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence (Hungarian: 1848–49‑es forradalom és szabadságharc).
