Quyimozor reservoir — located in Bukhara region between the Quyimozor and Kogon railway stations. In 1958 it was built by raising the surroundings of one of the depressions at the head of the Zarafshan River. The reservoir basin is situated in depressions composed of sand‑stone mixed clays. Initial water volume 280 million m³, area 16.2 km². Maximum width 5 km, average depth 17 m, maximum depth 40 m. In 1968 the reservoir basin banks were raised by more than 2 m with high embankments. Its water volume reached up to 350 million m³, area 17.3 km². Water is brought to the Quyimozor reservoir from the Zarafshan River through a special canal (18 km), and the Quyimozor pump station, which supplies 40 m³/s water, was built on the Amu‑Bukhara machine canal. The collected water is distributed to irrigation branches through a canal 72 km long that can convey up to 100 m³/s. The water level in the reservoir varies. The Quyimozor reservoir includes the Xorxor and Duoba aquifers.

Since 1965 the Quyimozor reservoir has been used to regulate the water of the Amu‑Bukhara machine canal. Together with the main canal, the reservoir irrigates 94 thousand hectares.
