Malibeyli Mosque
Malıbeyli Mosque — a single-domed mosque located in the center of the village of Malıbeyli, Khojaly. In the early 20th century the mosque’s minaret was blown up and destroyed by Armenians.
The mosque was built of local river stones in the Eastern style. The valuable historic-architectural monument Malıbeyli Mosque is thought to have been constructed in the 18th century. This nine-domed mosque had a height of 7 meters. These domes were erected on four large stone columns. The columns are carved with patterns. The mosque’s domes are made of baked brick.
On the right side of the mosque there are 4 windows, and on the left side there are 2 windows. Various ornamental inscriptions are carved into the walls. Graceful columns and the carvings on the walls give special beauty to the mosque’s spacious and high hall. This historic architectural monument was later used as a warehouse.
