Deprem Culture Museum (Adapazarı Earthquake and Culture Museum) is a museum in Sakarya that opened to visitors in 2004 under the Adapazarı Municipality. The construction of the museum began in 2000 and lasted four years. The museum was built to commemorate those who died in the Marmara Earthquake of 17 August 1999, to provide information about the events, and to raise visitors’ awareness about earthquakes.

The museum building is designed in a collapsed shape, resembling ruined walls and leaning columns. The building is designed like an art gallery where photographs, paintings, pictures, and documents can be exhibited. The museum displays pre‑ and post‑earthquake photographs related to the 1967 and 1999 earthquakes. A section of the museum was designed to create artificial shaking with machines to simulate earthquake effects. On the virtual earthquake platform, a tremor similar to a magnitude 7.4 shaking is experienced. The museum also provides information about construction materials related to the building techniques of structures that collapsed in earthquakes.
