The Palace of Finance is a building in Makó designed by Lajos Cobel.

Csanád County, and together with it Makó, the county seat, became independent from the Szeged Financial Directorate on August 1, 1895. At first the new organization operated in the buildings on Kossuth Street. The new building was planned for Szent János Square. The building, which was built in 1898, was originally one‑storey, but because the tasks of the office increased greatly due to the Treaty of Trianon and the territorial losses of Csanád County, another storey was added in 1924 according to the design of Ministerial Counselor Lajos Zolek. The financial directorate was abolished in 1950 when Csanád County was divided. Afterwards it functioned as a student home until 1995. Currently it houses offices, the Sports Museum and the rehearsal room of the Forgatós Dance Ensemble.

A decorative central risalit runs across the building, closed at the top by a cornice with a parapet. The outer risalits are reinforced. The false bands are equipped with a frieze, and the windows on the upper floor are paired. The façade is covered with ceramic brick. The windows have arched lintels and are set in frames built of ceramic brick. The later‑added cornice crowning the floor is toothed at the risalits.

Antal Páger, a native of the city, lived in the building during his student years; his father was a deputy head at the financial directorate.
