Pannónia Motorbike Museum
The Pannónia Motorbike Museum is a museum in Balassagyarmat. The permanent exhibition features the collection of László Szakács, which contains original-condition motorcycles, brand brochures, and contemporary motor accessories.
History
The exhibition's owner, Mr. László Szakács, has been collecting Pannónia motorcycles since 1995, and over time it has grown into a significant collection. The exhibition, containing more than 20 motorcycles, has been shown to the public at several temporary exhibitions, and the need for a permanent exhibition arose. For the museum, offers were made to host it in Rétság and Bercel, but ultimately it moved into a previously unused cellar space provided by the Balassagyarmat municipal government. The opening took place on March 15, 2008, with the presence of the county press and several national daily newspapers.
In 2021 the museum moved out of the cellar space that housed the exhibition, and the exhibition opened at its new location on June 5.
