Nikol Duman House-Museum
The Nikol Duman House Museum has operated since 2004 in the village of Tsaghkashat (also called Gyshlag), occupying the house in which Nikol Duman was born on 12 January 1867. Duman was a notable figure of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, active in the Armenian national movement and a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. The museum is arranged over four exhibition halls that trace both his personal biography and the broader daily life and culture of the surrounding Artsakh region in his era. A second-floor living room has been restored to its nineteenth-century appearance, furnished with period household items and craft objects, while a reconstructed kitchen displays dishes and kitchen furniture typical of the time, giving visitors a sense of domestic life in a Karabakh village household of that period.
