Alo is a lake in Tajikistan, part of the Zarfshan range, at the foot of the village Zindon (tributary of the Kishthut River, basin of the Zarfshan River). Its area is 0.32 km². Since 1918 it has appeared as a result of the collapse of a mountain and the blockage of the Zindon village valley. Its water source is springs and permanent snow. From the lake, a tributary of the Kishthud River flows to Iskandar Lake. The toponym Alo belongs to the group of hydronyms, is related to the Tajik language in terms of origin, and its meaning is something that is situated at a height.
