Rasim Paşa Mosque, the mosque next to the former active Yeldeğirmeni Police Station, was commissioned in 1902 by Ikbal Hanım, the wife of Rasim Paşa, the Naval Minister of Abdul Hamid II. Its walls are brick, its roof is wooden, and its minaret is brick.

The mosque was built in place of a ruined mescid that had been constructed in 1835-1836 during the reign of Mahmud II in the Yeldeğirmeni area. The area where the mosque stands was, during the reign of Abdul Hamid I, one of the settlements that hosted the windmills that gave the neighborhood its name. Today, the mosque, located within the Urban and Historical Site Area in the district of Kadıköy, underwent a restoration in 2012.
