İskele Mosque (Antalya)
İskele Mosque is one of Antalya's smallest historic mosques, tucked beside the old harbor in Kaleiçi at the foot of the Kırkmerdiven stairway, opposite the Tekelioğlu House. Built on a hexagonal plan with barely 46 square meters of usable space, the structure dates in its present form to 1903, when it was erected during the late Ottoman period by Kenan Pasha and Şakir Efendi, though local tradition holds that an earlier Seljuk-period mosque occupied the same spot. The building rises in two stories: the ground floor is designed as an open, canopy-like space resting on six columns joined by low arches, with a water source at its center, while the upper level forms a domed prayer hall above. Its small scale, open ground floor and position right at the marina's edge make it one of the more distinctive landmarks of old Antalya.
