Pir Emir Mosque, also referred to as Pir Emir Sultan Mosque, stands in Bursa's Piremir neighborhood and was built in 1495 under the patronage of Hoca Alizade on behalf of Pir Emir Sultan, a religious figure who had come from Bukhara. Its stonework and brickwork reflect the architectural style of the Fatih (Mehmed the Conqueror) period, including a portico, decorative window arches, eaves, and brick rosettes typical of that era. The prayer hall is roofed with a large dome set on an octagonal drum, and the mosque's single-balcony minaret has a distinctive pointed, concave conical cap, with the dome itself clad in lead sheeting. The mosque underwent a major renovation in 1961 and remains under the administration of Turkey's General Directorate of Foundations, serving as a quiet reminder of Bursa's many smaller Ottoman-era neighborhood mosques beyond its famous imperial monuments.
