Nasuh Pasha Mosque is a historic mosque located in the Sur district of Diyarbakır.

History

It is said that the mosque was commissioned by Nasuh Pasha, who served as governor of the Diyarbakır Province between 1606 and 1611, for his wife Servinaz Hanım during this period. In 1819, the upper part of its minaret was destroyed by a cannonball fired from the Inner Castle, and since then it has been called "Minareya Qot" (Cut Minaret). The remaining part of the minaret is built of black stone and is cylindrical, while the later added balcony and its upper part are built of white stone. During the 2015-16 Sur clashes, the mosque was damaged.
