İbn-i Bezzaz Mosque
İbn-i Bezzaz Mosque, sometimes recorded as Yeni Bezzaz Mosque, was built in Bursa in the early 15th century during the reign of Çelebi Sultan Mehmed by Hafızüddin Efendi, a scholar popularly known by the nickname İbn-i Bezzaz ("son of the cloth merchant"). The prayer hall is rectangular, measuring about 7.89 by 7.94 meters, and is covered by a single central dome resting on pendentives that transfer its weight to the surrounding walls. Its minaret rises from the western side of the building on a twelve-sided base with a cylindrical shaft, a design typical of smaller Bursa mosques of the period. The mosque's mihrab required repeated repair over the centuries, and the building was last restored roughly half a century ago, reflecting the ongoing maintenance needs of Bursa's many small Ottoman-era neighborhood mosques.
